For performing Cervical Epidural Injection greater precision is needed than Lumbar Epidural Injection, as the margin of error is less here. This is due to the presence of cervical spinal cord just in the front of the needle's target. The procedure usually takes about 20 minutes and is performed under local anaesthesia. Many patients experience significant pain relief, allowing them to return to daily activities and participate more effectively in physiotherapy and rehabilitation. Most patients go home the same day and can resume light activities within 24 hours.
